Event information

Like so many tech developments, AI is a potent mix of great potential and deep concern.

We’ve known about algorithms for a while – how they suggest music or movie choices, or the ads we see, but AI is having a much broader impact on our everyday lives. From employment and finance to healthcare and criminal justice, AI-powered decision-making systems are already shaping our experience.

Companies and bureaucracies are using the immense and opaque power of AI to choose us, not the other way around. And AI also has the power to open access to the justice system and legal assistance on a scale we couldn’t achieve otherwise.

What are the legal implications of all this and how do we regulate such fast-changing and moveable technology?

Join us for an engaging conversation on where AI already is in our law, its potential, and what regulation we need to make it fair.

Featuring a guest appearance from Bottled Snail.
