Join us at the Neighbourhood Justice Centre for Reclaimed Voices, a short documentary by the Aspiring Young Africans Foundation (ASPYA).

The film follows Sabir Banek, a young man who spent time in the youth justice system, as he finds his way out—getting a job, reconnecting with his faith, and rebuilding his life. Sabir’s story shows how complex, difficult, but ultimately hopeful real-life encounters with the law can be.

After the film, members of the ASPYA Foundation will lead an open conversation and Q&A. You'll have a chance to ask questions and discuss how communities can better support young people navigating the justice system.

Open to everyone—whether you work in justice, care about reform, or simply want to understand more about how the law impacts lives.
