Sometimes ‘free’ doesn’t come cheap: Understanding the risks of ‘free’ services offered after a motor vehicle accident

These offers can include free repairs, loan cars or towing by a business that says it will claim its costs back from the other driver or their insurer.

The VLSB+C regularly receives complaints about the conduct of lawyers in motor vehicle matters. These matters can involve towing, car repair and car hire costs after an accident, and are not personal injury matters. 

This video will inform people of their rights and risks regarding ‘free’ vehicle-related services after a motor accident, and give them information on how to make a complaint about a lawyer’s conduct if they have concerns.
