Victoria's Portable Long Service Scheme

Did you know there is portable long service for workers in Victoria’s community services, contract cleaning and the security industry that moves with them from job-to-job?

There are currently 400,000 workers and 3,700 employers registered with the Portable Long Service Authority, which manages the Victorian Government scheme.

These workers previously missed out on long service as they often moved from one short-term contract to another. Now, these workers can accrue long service benefits for all their years in a single industry, rather than with a single employer.

Eligible employers are legally bound to register themselves and their workers with the Scheme. 

This online event, hosted by the Authority, will be great opportunity for employers and workers to find out about this Scheme.
